Reminds me of a great story about Ryan Adams. He was touring his "Gold" album in 2001 (the last decent one he has made), and made an appearance on Top of the Pops. Or it might have been another one of those silly British shows where they make you lip sync.
The producers tell him that he has no choice but to lip sync, which doesn't thrill him. So when performance time arrives, him and his bass player switch places and the producers don't even notice. The bass player pretends to sing the words, while Adams pretends to play bass and chuckles.
When the producers found out, they were pissed. Really pissed.
But he's still not even one tenth as cool as Iggy.
