Au Contraire my friend! I got a cat! Unlike Dogs who will be your pal no matter what, a cat requires that you be interesting and entertaining! For the most part mine has nothing to do with me unless I do something out of the ordinary. If you're following me here, (interesting, entertaining and out of the ordinary) you'll see that John Stienbeck aside, a cat is the best pet a writer can have. Mine also horks up hairballs at my desk -- proving that we've become almost impossible to tell apart.
I don't think it counts as a true cat post since it isn't actually a real pic of Lexi. Cute name. Cute cat. Looks similar to my Marmalade, only Marma's just orange and white and fluffier. She doing much damage? I love kittens but hate the kitten stage ... the random attacks, the demon antics. Thank goodness my cat thinks she's a dog - best of both worlds, and it works because the dog thinks he's a person.
BTW, random tangent, but aren't any of you going to post about the Dexter finale?!

Oh kittens. I'm trying to convince my future LA housemates that we should get a cat for the house. We're currently 2-2 on it.
The cat-lovers will prevail.

Cats are great! Best when barbequed and served with a side of slaw and hush puppies...

Posting a picture of a calico kitten is always brave and interesting. Of course, I'm biased.
