Doc + McFly = Heart

When they go on the fritz, computers can really suck, can't they. Let's just say my laptop has been making me a little :P. So some Friday Fun with the 'Brokeback To The Future' spoof trailer, still one of the funniest things I saw this past year.

Because it makes me smile.

That was really superb. Beautifully edited. Started my day with a smile, thanks for that Will.

I really can't get enough of this clip, Caroline and good dog. It's like the marriage of two diametrically opposed enties into a perfect storm of spoof comedy. Very clever.

I've seen other "Brokeback" spoofs, and at the moment there is the Horatio Caine one-liners all clumped together from CSI: Miami going the rounds.

What makes Brokeback to the Future really stand out is whoever edited it together really knows how to edit. The juxtaposition of clips to get the message/joke across is just perfectly balanced.

The CSI: Miami piece goes on for... something like five minutes and feels much longer. (Maybe it is longer). At a minute, making the point of Caruso pausing on the dialogue to put on his shades, it would have been funny. Instead you want it to end.

Watched Brokeback to the Future about five times already. But I'm not going to blame you if today's work isn't finished.

Thanks agin and have a good weekend.

That CSI Miami teaser out's clip is hysterical...but too long, yes. Could've got the point across and had more impact with some tightening (but who are we to complain...these are just kids having fun on the net with Final Cut Pro or whatever they're using). I still thought it was a funny notion to string those Horaticio clips together.

What made it work for me was that they played it straight (no pun intended) all the way through instead of trying to pile on more jokes.
