Old Spice Scores Again

It's NEVER as good the second time around (see first ad HERE), but it's still pretty darn good.





Like the first spot, it seems there's got to be tons of CGI...but as the making of the first one showed, the mo of this campaign seems to be more about marrying the real and the practical with some sleight of film making illusion.

I'm sold.

Funny how such ingenious staging still fascinates, where achieving the same effects digitally would now merit only a "Meh." So it seems a shame to include the 'swan dive' with its obvious wire removal. They did the same thing the first time around when they CG'd in the bottle rising out of his hand, thereby spoiling their perfect score.

For me the most impressive thing is the way he doesn't even look down when he knows his nuts are heading for that saddle.
