This time of year, Friday Fun has to be from what is still my fav holiday TV show ever...Pee Wee's Playhouse Christmas Special. It's a classic....with the surreally silly yet bizarrely brilliant Paul Reubens joined by a multitude of guests including Grace Jones, k.d. Lang, Cher, Little Richard, Whoopi Goldberg...even Oprah!, and the heavenly intonations of the Del Rubio tripets.
Because it makes me smile...
Hot damn! That's good stuff. I almost forgot Lawrence Fishburn was the cowboy. I will pursue this PeeWee's Christmas Special. But my favourite episode remains 'Ants in the Pants'. Hope there is some Mark Mothersbourgh (spelling?) music in this.
